This Week, THE CHARACTER OF ENTREPRENEURS:

1.Optimistic: the tendency to expect the best and see the best in all things hopefulness; confidence, to the point of being psychotic (insane, lunatic, mad, disturbed,) In other words PSYCHOTIC/OPTIMISTIC!

2.ENERGY: the capacity for vigorous activity; available power AN ENTREPREPRENEUR MUST HAVE 2 SCOOPS OF ENERGY

3. Different: not alike in character or quality; differing; dissimilar; not identical; separate or distinct: not ordinary; unusual. The thing that distinguishes an entrepreneur from everybody else is that an entrepreneur sees things differently from most other people. They make distinctions that other people don’t make.

Being an entrepreneur is almost a sickness. We see things other people don’t see and believe everyone will want to be part of our idea. It doesn’t matter if everyone else can’t see what the entrepreneur can see what is there the entrepreneur can see, feel, taste, touch, and breathe to fever pitch…. it is SICKNESS. An entrepreneur creates everything from nothing because it is already there.  So what does it take to be a real world class entrepreneur? My thoughts …… (and I’m sure there will be a lot more from different parts of the world.)

Optimistic: the tendency to expect the best and see the best in all things hopefulness; confidence, to the point of being psychotic (insane, lunatic, mad, disturbed,) In other word PSYCHOTIC/OPTIMISTIC. I have never met an entrepreneur that doesn’t believe what they are doing is the only thing that matters. An entrepreneur can hear you!!! That doesn’t mean they agree most time they don’t agree and will block out the thoughts of other because of a single minded intent……. MAKE IT WORK NOW!!!

ENERGY: the capacity for vigorous activity; available power AN ENTREPREPRENEUR MUST HAVE 2 SCOOPS OF ENERGY.  Entrepreneures are by nature not lazy in fact they never stop doing something. An entrepreneur knows motion is the key to success. “BODIES IN MOTION ON BODIES IN MOTION” no Motion  =  no Success.

Enthusiastic: filled with or motivated by enthusiasm; fanatical; keen…. Along with optimism we are very enthusiastic ready to go now…that is right now what are you waiting for?

Urgent: compelling or requiring immediate action or attention; imperative; pressing…… An entrepreneur will never die wondering. They ask and ask and ask…. Usually the question is why not? They tell and they tell and tell; it is always get it done now, don’t tell me it can’t be done.

Engage: to occupy the attention or efforts of (a person or persons) the entrepreneur is a rentless never stops engaging building relationships making connection connecting the dots to make the idea a reality. The entrepreneur knows there is no such thing as a "self-made" anything. It is all about relationships!

Resource: a source of supply, support, or aid, especially one that can be readily drawn upon when needed.  An entrepreneur is always looking for resource to deploy leverage make use of ……..whatever will help make the idea an reality  …. Faster …. cheaper ……  better! Always doing more with less !

Decision: the act or process of deciding; determination, by making a judgment … Entrepreneurs know that no decision made is the decision. It is better to do something rather than nothing in the mind of an entrepreneur. GoodBad….. Ugly or Great the decision has to be made! Let motion sort out the problem. This can be a problem for us entrepreneurs…… sometimes waiting may yielded a different result. Lag is an important word for an entrepreneur to learn. Lag is the time between and sometime that is the most important thing to do wait with patience’s don’t force the issue. This is hard for the always time starved entrepreneur……. Yet it may be the differences….. Timing is everything in the world of success..

In my world, I am wanting to make difference. Patience is very important…. This is the hardest part of being an entrepreneur …….Oh and yes we have more than our share of arrogance…… it goes with the territory.

Entrepreneurs by nature like to lead…..this doesn’t make them great leaders. This may account for a lot of entrepreneurs failures ……. My experience……… leadership in today’s world is an acquired skill that must be learned for success.

Last words on entrepreneurs they tend not to be great business people. To be a great entrepreneur there must be a strong business precense… Smart entrepreneurs team-up with great business people….. they are 2 very different skills.  Next week I will twist Judy’s arm to tell the world what she thinks make up a world class business person.

Until then John S out…

Go out and make a difference
