I start this week always thinking/wondering about:
- What result do I really want?
- What is important to “ME”?
The most important results to “ME” are:
- Did I add value?
- Will my energy repeat, always doing ever more with ever less?
I want to build a great business that will make a difference in my customers’ life and know that my intention has been of great value to “ME” and my customers.
This week, I want to talk about the 6 Elements that every business, employee and self-employed person must pay attention to:
1. Impact: The force that is being applied. What sets most ventures apart is the intention of impact that is wanted to be made or is made. With no impact, it is very hard to succeed in getting a result.
2. Duration: The time that it takes to create an impact is one of the most important aspects of success. I remember when I was testing playing the CASHFLOW games in the early development of training people to play the game. I would ask how long it took each of 10 groups that played to achieve a certain level. The duration varied between 60 minutes and 10 hours. The test proved 60 minutes was way too short and 10 hours with a death threat for success. We worked out after testing for a month that the best timing to play the CASHFLOW game was 90 minutes with a 30 minute debrief. IE: We found the optimal duration of time for success to an outcome.
3. Frequency: The interval between events. This is one of the most important parts of relationships development. I believe that when setting up a new customer, you must have 4 contacts in 10 days. Without frequency, it hard to be remembered and to build an ongoing relationship.
4. Follow-up: To return to the subject for it to be remembered. This is the secret to frequency…. can you follow-up and add value to each contact?
5. Follow Through: Make a commitment and keep it! The way to add value is to commit to something and then be trusted to do exactly what you said you would do.
6. Feedback: The life blood of all business relationships is feedback. It doesn’t matter if the feedback is Good, Bad, Ugly, or Great (GBUG). What matters is what you do after receiving the feedback. If I get great feedback, I always ask for a referral to new opportunities. Good and Bad feedback are mediocrity to “ME” and I hate this feedback…. there is very little scope to improve. Yes… the difference between good and bad in today’s world leaves little room to make a difference. However Ugly to “ME” is the greatest of all opportunities. Most business ventures avoid looking UGLY at all costs. Yet UGLY to beautiful are the most fun of them all. I get to show off how much I really care about my relationships and I strive for long term relationships.
The Golden Rule you must always apply is….. you must repeat the process over and over again, improving each time.
(Everything is always repeating. The only question for me… is it repeating towards what I want or away from what I want? Either way, there will be a repeating pattern!).

EVOLUTION: THE GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT OF SOMETHING INTO A MORE COMPLEX FORM … looking to do ever more with ever less.

2. DEAL WITH BIG THOUGHTS (MACRO)
3. TAKE SMALL ACTIONS (MICRO)
4. DEAL WITH COMPLEXITIES AND KNOW WHERE TO START BY LOOKING AT:
· SETTING TIMED STARTING POINTS
· TIMING OF EACH INTER-RELATIONSHIP
· SEQUENCE OF ACTION OR NON-ACTION
Create an ENVIROMENT that makes an impact on your customers’ life or their business and you will always have opportunities.
